Tallyproof Bank Statements
Convert bank and credit card statement PDFs to Excel or CSV, reconciled to the cent.
Tallyproof Bank Statements converts a bank or credit card statement PDF (or a bank CSV/Excel export) into clean transactions: date, description, signed amount, running balance and a suggested category. It proves the result: opening balance plus all transactions must equal the closing balance to the cent, and if it does not, it points to the rows that break the running balance. Downloads: Excel workbook, CSV, and a QuickBooks-ready 3-column CSV.
What it does
- Text PDF statements: one signed amount column, separate withdrawal/deposit columns, deposit and withdrawal sections, CR/DR suffixes, parentheses negatives
- Multi-page statements with repeated headers, wrapped descriptions joined, dates without a year placed in the statement period (December to January)
- Reconciliation: opening + money in - money out = closing, checked to the cent, with the running balance checked row by row
- Bank CSV and Excel exports normalized to the same clean format (newest-first, debit/credit columns, type columns, DD/MM dates)
- Suggested categories (payroll, transfers, card payments, fees, interest, subscriptions and more) with money in and out by month
- Excel, CSV and QuickBooks CSV downloads; account numbers masked to the last 4 digits
